Horseback Riding – Summer
Vail Stables
Vail Stables is the closest riding stable to downtown Vail Village. A short one-mile drive puts you in our parking lot. Our trails are 100% in the White River National Forest through dense Aspen glade forests, wide open mountain views, blue sky and green grass trails. Local hotels will provide a shuttle ride up to the stables.
1-Hour Ride
This is one hour you will never forget. The quiet forest experience is what everyone needs on their Colorado vacation. Let the horse do the hiking!

1.5-Hour Ride
This ride is even better than the 1 hour as you will spend 30 extra minutes immersed in a cool, dense Aspen glade with the colorful canopy covering stark white trunks of the Aspen. Staff favorite!

2-Hour Ride
Views from on top of the world! Dark timber forest so you can see the new Lodgepole pines making their way into the world after the mountain pine beetle infestation that took out many of the old guys.

Half-Day Ride
One fellow from Alabama stuffed knee pads in his pants so he could take this ride. It’s that good and he knew he did not want to miss it. It’s the only ride that crosses water.

Kid’s Pony Camp
Lil’ Buckaroos learn everything there is to learn about ponies in a 3 hour camp. Lead, groom, saddle, and ride, ride, ride! Did we mention chores?
Ages 3-6
16 kids per session with 2 friendly instructors
2 sessions each day, Monday-Friday

Kid’s Horse Camp
Horses=Chores. There’s just no way around it. Campers learn the value of chores when it results in a fantastic day of riding.
Ages 6-12
Limited to 8 children per day, with 2 counselors.
9:00am-3:30pm
