Vail Golf Club (Public), East Vail

VGC ImageHighlighted by views of the Gore Mountain Range, Vail’s mountain-style, 18-hole course features unique fairways, smooth putting surfaces and a scenic layout amidst the White River National Forest.

The fairways are tree-lined and generally flat, but numerous greenside and fairway bunkers, as well as beaver ponds, will test a golfer’s accuracy. Vail’s course features 7,024 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71.
A course rating of 71.4/132 from the back tees and 60.2/103 from the forward tees make it a truly spectacular experience for golfers of all skill levels. Recognized by Golf Digest as a “Top 100 Resort Course,” golfers enjoy watching their balls fly 10 percent farther in Vail’s high altitude environment, while they challenge themselves on greens that follow the scenic Gore Creek.

Designed and built by one of Vail’s pioneers, Ben Krueger, in 1962, Vail’s course continues to be thought of by many as one of the best courses in the Vail Valley — a must-play among locals and guests alike. Once the golf course is blanketed with snow, it serves as Vail’s Nordic Center during the winter months, offering 17 kilometers of groomed ski track and 10 kilometers of separate snowshoe trails.

Beaver Creek Golf Club (Semi-Private)

BCGolf_Course2The Beaver Creek Golf Club, nestled against the slopes of Beaver Creek Mountain, is one of the longest established golf courses in the Vail Valley. Opened in 1982, the course was designed by noted course architect Robert Trent Jones, Jr. and is known and respected for its long, narrow challenging fairways and its stunning scenery.

Beaver Creek is open to the public from May 13 – June 14 and September 16 – October 9. Enjoy the luxury experience at local pricing. The course is exclusively available to Beaver Creek, Bachelor Gulch and Arrowhead lodging guests and Beaver Creek Club Members June 15 – September 15.

Tee times from 7:00 – 9:50 a.m. and from 4:00 – 4:50 p.m. are restricted to Beaver Creek Golf Club Members and their guests, throughout the golf season.

From May 30 – September 5, tee times from 10:30 – 11:10 a.m. are reserved for Park Hyatt guests. Half of the unreserved Park Hyatt tee times are released back to the Beaver Creek Golf Club 14 days in advance, and the other half are released 2 days in advance. Tee times can be booked by calling the Golf Shop.

Play at the Beaver Creek Golf Club is exclusive for guests and homeowners of Beaver Creek, Bachelor Gulch and Arrowhead from June 15 – September 15.

Eagle-Vail Golf Club (Public), Located between Vail and Beaver Creek

Created by the Devlin/Von Hagge design team, EagleVail Golf club is full of elevation change and unique play. Elevated tees guarantee gravity-defying drives in the rarefied air, and, at 6836 yards, beginners won’t be intimidated and experienced golfers will be well-challenged.

The front nine meanders through the valley floor, crossing the scenic Eagle River several times. After this pleasant warm-up, you are ready for the thrilling back nine that winds up the mountain-side through aspen, lodgepole pine and fir – the only excusable distraction from your golf game comes from the stunning setting.

The EagleVail Golf Club inhabits former verdant ranch and farm lands. Built in the early 1930’s, the red barn near Hole #2 green served as feed and tack storage, a testament to the valley’s agricultural heritage.

Eagle Ranch Golf Club (Public), Located 30 minutes from Vail/Beaver Creek

Eagle Ranch is an Arnold Palmer Signature Design set in the center of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Mr. Arnold Palmer designed the layout, which includes an interesting variety of mountain and links-style holes.

The open, rolling fairways lead to large, undulating greens that play fast. There’s water on most holes and strategically-placed bunkers throughout. Eagle Ranch demands accuracy. But with five sets of tees there’s fairness for golfers of all abilities.

Gypsum Creek Golf Course (Public), Located 35 minutes from Vail/Beaver Creek

gypsumcreek_gcNestled in the Gypsum Valley, Gypsum Creek Golf Course (formerly Cotton Ranch Golf Course)is a Pete Dye designed 18 hole Championship course for players of all caliber. Spread out over a steep, sage-covered mesa, his challenging course beguiles golfers with splendid natural scenery and a bit of deception. The signature sixth hole is a daunting par-5 that exceeds 550 yards from the back tees and is almost never reached in two shots thanks to the prevailing winds. From there on, steep drop offs and tough angles are the status quo for this truly spectacular course.

Red Sky Ranch Golf Club (Private – MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED), Located 25 minutes from Vail/Beaver Creek
