The GoPro Mountain Games are the country’s largest celebration of adventure sports, art and music and they return to Vail, June 6 – 9, 2013.
Professional and amateur athletes from around the world converge upon the mountains and rivers of Vail to compete in nine sports and 25 disciplines for more than $100,000 in prize money. Tough Mudder events are hardcore 10-12 mile obstacle courses designed by British Special Forces to test your all around strength, stamina, mental grit, and camaraderie. By running a Tough Mudder challenge, you’ll unlock a true sense of accomplishment, have a great time, and discover a camaraderie with your fellow participants that’s experienced all too rarely these days. Traditional works by Sousa, Cohan, Suppé, Leroy Anderson, Gershwin, and Rachmaninoff act as a prelude to Williams’s greatest hits: selections from Superman, Star Wars, Schindler’s List, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, and Indiana Jones All Activities in full swing! All of your favorite Vail Valley activities are waiting for you from rafting, fishing, golf, biking, hiking, horseback riding, and zip-lining, to music events at the Amphitheater and Vilar Center.

Residences are available for rent usually on a Saturday to Saturday basis. We can sometimes accommodate shorter stays as well as dates that cross over a Saturday, please just inquire for details.
The new Ritz Carlton Vail is located on the western side of Lionshead Village, just adjacent to The Marriott hotel and just north of Gore Creek. It is a short walk to Lionshead village and the Lionshead ski slopes. The Ritz Carlton staff will also assist guests with getting their skis and boots over to the ski slopes.
